Outdoors
Hang out on the East Blue Hill Beach
(go straight through blue hill and take a right/go straight (sounds confusing but you'll see what I mean) at the fishnet (after grabbing a lobster roll). follow that road through the town of east blue hill and the beach will be on your right, about 20 minutes away)
Swim at Lily Pond on Deer Isle
Hike up Blue Hill
(trails are marked, just off mountain road outside of town)
Acadia Park; wonderful trails for hiking and biking; Jordan Pond House for lunch and POPOVERS; go to Information Center for specifics on boat trips etc; Schoodic Point is terrific, as is Isle au Haut- reachable by ferry from Stonington, which is a cool town with a good restaurant—Fisherman’s Friend; galleries, and Island Cow ice cream cones)
